Current Basketball Court Schedule

Fun Fact? Yes, basketball was invented in 1821, when the first official basketball rules were published. PE teacher, James Naismith was given just weeks to come up with an indoor activity, and he did. Hanging peach baskets to the bottom of a second-level running track, Naismith tacked 13 rules to the wall and taught the men, at the International YMCA Training School, his game: basketball.

At our YMCA, basketball has always played an important role. Whether you want to get in on a pick up game, have your child learn to play and be on a team, or you want to shoot around with friends, you find your place at the Y.
