We would like to start out by saying congratulations to our girls that qualified for Senior Sectionals, Emma Jones, Kaila Lee, and Calleagh Brown. These 3 qualified in individual events and we will also be taking a relay team to swim in 4 different relays. These relays will include those 3 girls, Chrisi Morrison, and Catlin Hawke. We would also like to say congratulations to the 14 swimmers that qualified for 11 & Over State Championships: Calleagh Brown, Emma Jones, Chrisi Morrison, Caitlin Hawke, Kaila Lee, Taylor Cole, Aaron Bishow, Liam Wong, Andy Whitmore, Nyle Weldon, Kyle Freeman, Seth Hodsdon, Alex Seaver, and Art Li. Make sure to wish all these swimmers good luck if you see them. The Aquathon went very well we were happy to see so many Seniors there participating this year, it really made the event a lot of fun. The EYAC Seniors swam in 2 meets this Month the June Albany Invitational and the Mike Morris Meet. Here are some of the outstanding swims of the month:
Aaron Bishow swam in the Mike Morris meet and quite a few best times.
Calleagh Brown took time off in her 100 free at the Mike Morris Meet when she lead our girls 400 free relay time with a time of 1:05.48.
Evan Clark took time off in 4 of his races at the Mike Morris Meet, his biggest improvement was in the 50 breast where he dropped 9 seconds of his old time.
Andrew Edsall had a fast 50 free at the Mike Morris Meet with a time of 30.25.
Kyle Freeman had 9 best times this month, one of his best races was his 400 IM at the Mike Morris Meet where he dropped over 6 seconds off his old time.
Zach Freeman had a great 100 fly at the Mike Morris Meet, he took 11 seconds off his old time and had a total of 8 personal records throughout the month.
Tommy Ghasedi had 7 best times throughout both swim meets and got an Age Group Sectional time in his 200 free at the June Albany Invitational.
Caitlin Hawke had a great 200 IM at the Mike Morris Meet, taking over 6 seconds off her old time.
Seth Hodsdon dropped 41 off his old times throughout the month, one of his biggest time drops was in the 200 free at the June Albany Invitational where he dropped 12 seconds for a time of 2:22.49.
Emma Jones had a great 100 breast at the Mike Morris Meet with a time of 1:20.29.
Jamie Kooiman had best times in 2 of the races she swam at the Mike Morris Meet, the 400 free and the 100 back.
Kaila Lee had 4 best times throughout the Mike Morris Meet, her 2 best races of the meet were the 200 IM and the 200 back where she dropped over 2 seconds in each race.
Art Li had a great 50 free at the Mike Morris Meet with a time of 28.18.
Nathan Lytton had a fast 200 IM at the Mike Morris Meet where he dropped over 2 seconds off his old time.
Chrisi Morrison had 6 best times through out the month, one of her best races was the 400 free at the Mike Morris Meet where she dropped over 8 seconds.
Kathryn Ness had all best times at the Mike Morris Meet, she dropped over 46 seconds in her 800 free and 26 seconds in her 400 free.
Jordyn Roach had an awesome 200 IM at the Mike Morris Meet where she dropped over 17 seconds.
Chris Rodgers had 6 Personal records out of 6 swims at the Mike Morris Meet. He took over 95 seconds off his old times through out the meets.
Alex Seaver had 6 best times throught the month, and a really fast 200 IM at the June Albany invitational.
Grace Shum had a great 50 free at the Mike Morris Meet where she took 5 seconds off her old time.
Jacob Stock had a great 200 free at the Mike Morris Meet, taking over 3 seconds off his old time.
Aaron Turk had best times in the 200 free and 100 fly at the Mike Morris Meet.
Jared Wasinger took off over 23 seconds throughout the month, one of his best races was the 200 free at the June Albany Invitational, taking over 10 seconds off his old time.
Liam Wong had a great 100 fly at the Mike Morris Meet, taking 17 seconds off his old time.
Elijah Yang had 6 personal records throughout the month, one of his best races was the 50 free at he Mike Morris Meet, he took 7 seconds off his old time.
I would like to say Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, to all the parents that timed this month, and everybody that helped out with the Aquathon, you guys are such a big help. Just a couple quick reminders: Please get your Aquathon pledge sheets in to a Coach ASAP. We would like to hand out prizes but we can’t until they all get turned in.
