Tennis lessons for everyone...

Lessons are a great way to improve your game, gain skills, discover a new sport and meet people! Talk to our Tennis staff and you are on your way.

Clinics...

Adult Beginners:          6:45 - 7:45 PM Tuesday             Intermediate:   6:45 - 7:45 PM Thursday
These classes are designed to develop and improve stroke production, movement, positioning and strategy appropriate for player’s level and goals.

Family  (all levels):      5:30 - 6:45 PM Saturday

Adults and Juniors are invited to attend a family friendly lesson. All levels, ages 4 and up.

The YMCA Jr. Tennis program is all about fun, friends,   fitness and best of all... learning a lifetime sport.

levels:
Tiny Tots: (4-6years)
Wed 2:150pm-3:00pm /Fri. 3:15pm-4:00pm

This class will combine hand-eye coordination with FUN, FUN, FUN games and activities to build a positive first experience in tennis.  We will use lil’ nets and rackets (provided).  You are never too young to start/play.

Grassroots:(Beginning-intermediate)
Mon/Wed 3:15-4pm

This is a great place for many young people to learn the basic fundamentals of the game.  The goal is to be able to rally from the short court and from full court ten times in a row in order to advance to the next level.

Future stars: (Beginning to advanced)
Tue/Th 3:30-4:30pm

This is a combination of four different levels for middle school age players.  Core concepts are stressed such as correct techniques in ground strokes, volleys, servers, overheads, and specialty shots such as drop shots and lobs.  Tennis strategy and point construction is introduced.  This class is designed to be fun and interactive.

Tournament training: (Intermediate-advanced)
Tue/Th 4:30-5:30pm

This class focuses on the fundamentals of match play.  Students will learn the importance of each point and be given strategies to develop their natural skills in both singles and doubles match play.

Tournament champions: (Advanced only)
Mon/Wed 4-5:30pm

This class is reserved for champ level tournament players.  There will be intensive workouts with complex strategies and mental toughness incorporated in match play scenarios.  Players must have instructor consent before registration.

*Community Membership is a $40 annual fee for youth under 15 years of age. This entitles these youth to a discount on programs such as lessons and camps. It does not provide use of the facility.

Private lessons or semi-private lessons are available from our USPTA certified Tennis Professionals as well as our    Assistant Pros. If you are interested in private lessons, please check out our Private lesson flyer or  talk to our Tennis Center staff for scheduling.

Private lessons are great for working on specific aspects of your game or for an  overall tune up. Private lessons are focused, effective and  fun.
