Everyone is welcome at the Y!
The Y welcomes all who wish to participate in Y programs and services and believes everyone deserves access despite financial barriers. Our financial assistance program assists youth, adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances. Thanks to generous giving by donors to our Annual Campaign, qualified applicants are approved for financial assistance based on a sliding fee scale designed to fit each applicant's unique financial situation. Everyone pays something for the Y membership, however, that fee may differ based on individual needs.
If you are new to the Eugene Family YMCA and interested in applying for financial assistance, please first sign up for a FREE Community Membership. This will get you set up with an account (no membership access or membership fees will be activated at that time). Then we will coordinator your financial assistance request and get you started with a facility membership at a later date.
In an effort to ensure we are able to continue to offer important Financial Assistance to those who need it most, we are reviewing critical components of the process. All applicants interested in applying for Financial Assistance will be asked to:
- Complete a Financial Assistance Questionnaire
- Provide your recent IRS 1040 showing your total income for the last year
- Provide two current pay stubs
If you qualify for assistance, your award will be valid for 12 months once you initiate your membership. Prior to the Financial Assistance expiration date, we will send you a reminder requesting updated documentation in order to reapply for continued assistance.
