Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week training based on the personal practices of mindfulness, progressive relaxation, contemplative presence, letting go of reactivity, mindful movement (yoga, etc) and enhancing emotional intelligence. These are integrated into daily life via home practice to help folks cope with stress and improve well-being. Weekly in-person classes and excellent learning materials will guide participants through the course.

Classroom learning and practice will include: body scan meditation, sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful breathing practice, interpersonal learning, mindful eating, gentle mindful movement/yoga appropriate to your personal physical limitations and more.

Participants are asked to commit to a home practice during the training. Workbooks and home practice guides will be provided. A completed MBSR Agreements Form is required of all applicants to help them understand the commitments and elements of practice during the training. It will be provided when you register.
