Oregon Community Credit Union (OCCU) partners with the Y to offer free quarterly financial literacy classes for teens and adults, utilizing the Financial Beginnings platform and other resources. OCCU's goal is to foster an understanding of financial budgeting, credit reporting, homebuying, personal information security measures and more. They seek to empower our community with knowledge and resource availability.

This session will break down the basics of IRAs (traditional, ROTH, SEP and SIMPLE), explaining how each works, the rules for saving, and what to know about taxes and withdrawals. You'll also learn tips for managing accounts, avoiding penalties and choosing your investments.
