About Your Instructor: Meet Briselda
"My name is Briselda, Chef and owner of PerMex Delights! Peruvian and Mexican catering services. We also offer cooking classes and At-Home Private Chef. I’m delighted to bring catering services to Lane County. I’m originally from Acapulco, Mexico where I lived until I was 14 years old. My childhood memories are filled with experiences in the kitchen either watching, eating, or learning recipes. My primary teachers; my mother and grandmother taught me the art of crafting authentic Mexican dishes infused with ancient, treasured flavors and techniques in their wood stove. Later, my curiosity for international flavors led me to learn Peruvian cuisine from scratch alongside my then mother-in-law. PerMex Delights was founded to provide delicious cuisine and visually appealing dishes that bring joy to our customers. I believe that life is too short for ordinary food. One of my biggest joys is watching people truly enjoying a tasty meal. When people ask me what is our secret, I always say 'our secret to amazing food is always love!' When I'm not cooking, I'm teaching at the Lundquist Business School at the University of Oregon as a Pro Temp instructor of Cross-Cultural Negotiation, dancing, or playing with my 3 kids."
