Who We Are
The Social Responsibility Committee helps ensure that everyone who engages with the Y feels they belong, that they are included, valued and reflected in our work. We believe the Y is strongest when every person—staff, members, participants, donors and community partners—can see themselves here and reach their full potential.
What We Do
- Recommend actions our Y can take to meet evolving community needs.
- Develop a culture and engagement opportunities grounded in our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
- Collaborate across departments to build inclusive programs and services.
- Stay informed through research, community insight and operational data. Why We Exist Our purpose is to:

Promoting CommUNITY Series
Creating spaces for people to listen, learn, and grow together. Through speakers, book clubs, and conversations, we focus on building awareness of experiences different from our own, encouraging understanding, and inspiring action across our community.
Welcoming Festival
A celebration honoring newcomers, immigrants and refugees to create a community of true neighbors. We come together to build connections, share community resources, and strengthen belonging. At the Y, everyone has a place—and the Welcoming Festival is our way of showing that you belong here.
