WORKSHOPS
Our specialty fitness and wellness workshops offer the perfect environment to delve deeper into your practice, beyond what an hour-long class can provide. These boutique experiences cater to both seasoned practitioners and newcomers, allowing everyone to explore and discover new passions. Workshops are open to both Y members and community members.
Myofascial Techniques 
Learn self-care techniques to release restrictions in the fascia—the connective tissue network that surrounds every muscle, organ, bone, blood vessel and nerve fiber in your body. We will use a soft foam roller and soft balls to rehydrate stuck areas from head to toe. Come join us to find relaxation, reduced muscle tension and increased range of motion!

 Restorative Yoga and Nidra Sound Bath
Restorative Yoga and Nidra Sound Bath
Join Carla and Candy for a gentle yoga asana experience followed by yoga nidra, a sleep-based guided meditation, culminating in a sweet sound bath of crystal singing bowls, chimes and more! Learn to relax, move with your breath and rest to awaken refreshed and renewed! No experience necessary. All ages and abilities welcome.

Self Defense from the Inside Out for Adults
Self Defense From the Inside Out teaches us to explore our many tools (physical, verbal, mental, emotional) while respecting and practicing our own boundaries, gut feelings, instincts and intuition. This class offers a supportive environment where participants gain self-confidence while practicing new physical and verbal skills in many different life scenarios. 
	
	In this class: 
- We will define what self-defense means.
- We will practice setting verbal and physical boundaries.
- We will learn tools aimed to de-escalate situations.
- We will practice physically defending ourselves.
- We will learn verbal strategies to self-defense.
- We will practice self-care and share knowledge of community resources.

Small Group Boxing Fundamentals
	A family-friendly, non-contact introduction to the sport of boxing! This class is designed to build essential boxing skills in a safe and supportive environment. We focus on proper stance, footwork, head movement, punching techniques, defensive strategies and practical applications through live drills. Our aim is to foster friendship and teamwork through the art of fighting, all while avoiding hard sparring.

Pelvic Floor Health Series
In this Pelvic Floor Health Workshop Series, we will focus on pelvic health fundamentals, relaxation and strength-building techniques to alleviate pain, gain control and enhance your overall well-being.
	
	Part 1: Pelvic Floor Fundamentals - Lay a Solid Foundation for Optimal Health
	In this workshop, we will dive deep into understanding the importance of a healthy pelvic floor. We will educate you on the anatomy and functions of the pelvic floor, empowering you with knowledge that is fundamental to your well-being. You will learn proven techniques for proper posture, breath control, and body alignment, ensuring a strong and supportive pelvic floor foundation.
	
	Part 2: Relaxation Techniques - Find Harmony and Release Stress from Within
	Stress and tension can wreak havoc on our body, especially the pelvic floor. In this second phase of our workshop, we will guide you through a series of relaxation techniques specifically designed to alleviate pain and improve overall strength. Explore the transformative power of mindfulness, meditation, and gentle stretching exercises that will release tensions and promote relaxation in your pelvic area.
	
	Part 3: Building Strength - Unlock Your Inner Power
	Harness your inner strength and reach new heights of vitality and resilience with our third and final workshop. We will introduce you to a variety of safe and effective exercises that specifically target and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Through specialized techniques, you will gradually develop a solid core foundation, gaining improved control and stability.

Small Group Circuit Training
	Join a small group ready to get it, get it done and get going! This is a 30-minute, no-nonsense circuit workout led by one of our certified Personal Trainers. In this workout, functional training meets full-body strength and bursts of cardio. The small size means you get more attention while still feeling motivated by working as a group. Currently only being offered for Y members.

Aerial Yoga Play—plus a NEW Aerial Flow Yoga offering!
Aerial Yoga Play combines all the benefits of traditional yoga—flexibility, strength and balance—with a unique approach to conditioning for an exhilarating new way of approaching yoga. Sculpt your body in the air using our special yoga swings, as you tone muscles, find balance and increase flexibility. We offer a selection of levels for all abilities! Aerial Yoga PLay for Teens & Tweens is designed specially for youth ages 10 to 17.
NEW! Aerial Flow Yoga enhances traditional yoga by incorporating our specialized swings that enhance flexibility, strength and balance in a unique suspended environment. This approach allows members to sculpt their bodies through dynamic movements that tone muscles and increase flexibility. Beyond physical benefits, Aerial Yoga Play promotes mindfulness and concentration, offering a refreshing and exhilarating way to engage with yoga while exploring creativity and achieving mental clarity.
