The Impact of Cancer on Body, Mind, Emotions and Spirit, with Valinda Wetmore-Russell

Valinda Wetmore-Russell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been a part of the YMCA community since 1992. Val holds a deep passion and understanding regarding the impact of cancer on mental health and the body. She began providing counseling services to a wide variety of individuals as they moved through their own unique cancer journeys. 

Val provides ongoing education and support with the Oregon Cancer Foundation, with a specific focus on PTSD/CPTSD and cancer. She currently teaches dance classes here at the Y, and also has a private counseling practice, Flourish Wellness, LLC. Her background in movement, somatic modalities and nutrition have enabled her to offer guidance and support to a wide range of individuals throughout her 30-year career in social services.

Who: Anyone at any point in their cancer journey
When: There are 2 sessions for this topic! Choose Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. OR Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
