The Welcoming Festival is part of the Y’s broader participation in Welcoming Week a national movement led by Welcoming America. Welcoming Week elevates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace all community members and their contributions to the social fabric of our country, with a focus on:
- Celebrating the diversity of our community
- Bringing together newcomers and long-standing residents to build mutual understanding
- Standing in solidarity with all communities to ensure everyone feels valued and included
- Moving beyond divisiveness and fragmentation
