
Eugene Family YMCA Welcomes Three New Board Members to Strengthen Community Impact
Leaders in healthcare, biotech, and youth advocacy join board

Eugene, OR, July 1, 2026 — The Eugene Family YMCA is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Dr. Sudeshna Banerjee, Ms. Jolene Bradford, and Ms. Renee Francis. Each brings a strong commitment to community well-being and a depth of experience that will support the Y’s mission to strengthen community.
“Our board plays a critical role in guiding the YMCA’s impact in our community,” said Brian Steffen, CEO of the Eugene Family YMCA. “Sudeshna, Jolene, and Renee each bring unique expertise and a shared passion for helping people connect, grow, and thrive. We’re excited to welcome them to the Y.”
Dr. Sudeshna Banerjee
Dr. Banerjee is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and healthcare systems leader specializing in advanced cardiac care and minimally invasive procedures. She leads complex healthcare programs and contributes to research, education, and innovation within her field. As a YMCA member and parent, she brings both professional expertise and personal connection to the Y’s work.
Her experience strengthens the Y’s focus on community health, preventative care, and strategic healthcare partnerships.
Ms. Jolene Bradford
Ms. Bradford is a retired biotechnology executive and strategy leader with extensive experience in global product strategy, research and development, and commercialization. A former Associate Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific, she has led cross-functional teams and driven innovation in highly technical environments.
With more than 30 years as a YMCA member and prior nonprofit board experience, Ms. Bradford brings valuable insight into governance, strategic planning, and organizational growth.
Ms. Renee Francis
Ms. Francis is a registered nurse with PeaceHealth and Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She is also a dedicated advocate for youth and community well-being. Her work focuses on expanding access and opportunity for young people, particularly those who may face barriers to success.
She also serves as President of the Board for Connected Lane County and brings a strong commitment to youth development, equity, and community engagement—key priorities for the YMCA.
