The Future of the Y
Envisioning a Lane County with multiple Y branches
We're thrilled by the incredible amount of interest and enthusiasm we've seen since we opened the Don Stathos Campus in December 2023, but recognize that a single Y location may not be enough to meet the needs of our community. In response, Y leaders are currently exploring the opportunity to establish a second YMCA location in the greater Eugene area, to meet the demand for health, child development and community programs.
The massive project of realizing a second facility is still in the exploratory stage, and the Y is looking into options that will best fit the needs of the city and its communities. We look eagerly forward to sharing more details as the process evolves!
