Living Well with Parkinson’s is a two-part educational workshop designed to support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, along with their families and care partners. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson’s for many years, this series offers practical tools, lifestyle strategies and community resources to help support daily well-being.
Between visits with your doctor, everyday choices can play an important role in managing symptoms and improving quality of life. Participants will learn about building a care team, the benefits of exercise, the role of nutrition, the importance of social connection and self-care, and ways to stay organized and informed throughout their Parkinson’s journey.
Week 1: Participants will explore how to build a strong care team, learn about the benefits of exercise, discuss the role of different therapies and review general nutrition recommendations.
Week 2: Participants will focus on socialization, self-care and practical tools for healthcare tracking, including how to create a healthcare binder. The session will also highlight ongoing education opportunities and community resources.
This program is offered in partnership with Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon, which has served Oregon and Southwest Washington since 1980. Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon empowers individuals to meet the challenges of Parkinson’s disease through information, education, personal support and advocacy for a cure.
