Darryl Wisner

USPTA Elite Professional Darryl brings nearly 30 years of local playing, teaching and coaching experience to the Eugene Family YMCA. Darryl enjoys coaching all levels and ages and is the Director of Tennis at the Eugene Family YMCA.

Tom Greider

USPTA Elite Professional Tom started at the Y in 1983, spent 10+ years as the Director of Tennis and returned to the Y as a Coach in 2015. Tom has held various roles in the Eugene tennis community and brings an infectious enthusiasm to the game. 

Cami Schermerhorn

 PTR Cami played on the Women’s Pro Tour from 1982–1996. Cami has taught and coached all ages and levels since 1995. Cami incorporates principles of kinesiology to simplify strokes and movement efficiently for maximum control and power during play.

Wendy Giarrusso (USPTA)

Wendy started playing tennis in Cottage Grove as a child. She has been a long-time Tennis Pro in Eugene. Her specialty is working with older youth and bringing community together through the game of tennis. 

Mo Jemmali (CYT)

Mo began his tennis career at age 10 on clay courts, and as a teenager was highly ranked in Tunisia. Mo is the lead instructor of our popular Fun and Fitness classes. When not on a tennis court Mo can be found tutoring math or coaching soccer. 

Aaron Cheung (USPTA)

Aaron focuses on sound technique and efficient movement through a hard charging and no non-sense style. Aaron is also certified by United State Racket Stringing Association (USRSA).

Matt Walker

Matt has more than three years of coaching experience and is currently the Assistant Coach for the boy’s and girl’s tennis teams at Churchill High School. Matt emphasizes the serve and volley and a modern power game. 

Tim Hunt (USPTA)

Tim has been a part of the YMCA Tennis Center for over 25 years and has been teaching professionally since 2011. You’ll find Tim hosting our Tennis Fun & Fitness classes and Competition programs. He loves helping others reach their goals.

Emma Piazza

Emma is an positive, enthusiastic and patient instructor. She is studying health and fitness at the University of Oregon. She keeps her students moving through high energy practices.
