Our Summer Walking Event

Walk It Off with the Y is a free, family-friendly summer walking series happening every Wednesday evening from July through August at Alton Baker Park. Come enjoy fresh air, movement and community as people of all ages and abilities gather to walk, roll or stroll together. Each week features a fun theme, simple all-ages activities and chances to win raffle prizes. Bring your friends, bring your family and take a joyful step toward wellness—together!

DATES: Wednesdays in the summer!
TIME: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Alton Baker Park (200 Day Island Rd. Eugene, OR 97401)*
WHO: Anyone and everyone—bring your family and friends!
COST: FREE — no Y membership required! Y members and non-members are all welcome to join. If you’re not a Y member, just create a free account to register for your first walk.

• June 24 — Let’s kick it at the LAUNCH PARTY
  *The Launch Party will take place outside the South Entrance of the Eugene Family YMCA's Don Stathos Campus—600 E. 24th Ave.
• July 1 — Wear your sportiest gear on TEAM SPRIRIT DAY
• July 8 — Radiate your true colors on TIE DYE DAY
• July 15 — Let's show our support on CANCER AWARENESS DAY 
• July 22 — Everyone joins in for FAMILY & FRIENDS DAY
• July 29 — Bring your four-legged friend for the DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
• August 5 — Go fur it on SASQUATCH DAY
• August 12 — We'll keep it easy-breezy for A DAY AT THE BEACH
• August 19 — We're in full bloom on FLOWER POWER DAY
• August 26 — Bling it on for our CLOSING CELEBRATION

Y membership not required to attend! Simply sign up for a FREE COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP before your register, which grants you access to free programs like this. (You can also come to an event and we'll help you get registered and checked in in person!)

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:
In an effort to keep our community safe, Walk It Off with be cancelled if Eugene's Air Quality Index (AQI) is 150 or higher and/or temperature is 95° F or higher. Please check our social media pages for cancellation updates. We will announce any cancellations by noon on the day of Walk It Off.
