Walk, Roll, or Stroll—Walk It Off with the Y Returns this Summer!
Eugene, Ore., June 12, 2025 - The Eugene Family YMCA is proud to partner once again with PeaceHealth to bring back Walk It Off with the Y—a free, all-ages event celebrating movement, connection, and wellness at the beautiful Alton Baker Park every Wednesday throughout the summer.
Whether you walk, roll, or stroll, everyone is welcome to join this vibrant community tradition that happens every Wednesday evening from June 18 to August 27, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Each week features guided strolls, independent routes, themed celebrations, a chance to gather with friends and neighbors outdoors, opportunities to connect with local wellness providers and community partners—and a chance to win exciting raffle prizes! From families with strollers to folks using mobility devices to casual evening walkers, this event is designed for all ages, abilities, and paces.
Kick off the season with us at the Walk It Off Launch Party on Wednesday, June 18, at the Eugene Family YMCA! This is your one and only chance to celebrate at the Y before we head to the park. Drop in to register, pick up your 2025 Walk It Off t-shirt, and get everything you need to make the most of the season ahead. The Launch Party is free and open to all—Y members and non-members alike!
“We’re excited to return to the park and create space where everyone can come together to move their bodies in joyful ways,” said Cass Averill, Events & Programs Coordinator for the Eugene Family YMCA. “Walk It Off is about community as much as it is about movement—it’s a chance to celebrate summer, connect with others and take steps toward better health.”

- July 2: TIE DYE DAY
- July 9: FAMILY DAY
- July 16: SUPERHERO DAY
- July 23: CRAZY HAT DAY
- July 30: NEON DAY
- August 6: DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
- August 13: CANCER AWARENESS DAY
- August 20: SASQUATCH DAY
- August 27: CLOSING CELEBRATION
PeaceHealth returns as our proud Title Sponsor. Each week, a different PeaceHealth team or department will be on-site sharing health tips, educational resources, and inspiration to support your wellness journey.
Whether you're moving for fitness, fun, or friendship, Walk It Off brings our community together to enjoy the best of summer while supporting healthier lives.
