Wellness that works for you!
We can help you achieve your wellness goals. The following appointments are available for YMCA members, 16 years and older unless otherwise noted. For more information or to sign up, please talk to one of our Wellness or Membership staff.
What do I press, how do I start that machine, and what does this piece of equipment do? If you have some questions about what you see in the Health and Wellness Center and would like someone to walk through it with you, we'd be happy to give you an orientation. During your FREE orientation a Personal Trainer will take you through and show the special features of our equipment, and some basics about how our facility is set up.
Sometimes we all need a little more. Maybe you need a little more motivation and accountability, or a little more of a challenge, or just a little more help. You can get a little more - or a lot more! - with Personal Training.
Meet individually with a knowledgeable Personal Trainer who will create a personalized plan to meet your specific fitness goals. To ensure that the program is designed specific to your health history and goals, a Personal Training Intake Appointment and an optional In-Body Composition scan is included in the cost. Your Intake Appointment should be scheduled prior to your first training sesson. Each Personal Training session is 1 hour.

TEEN TRAINING (12-16 yrs)
We believe in the importance of a positive experience when it comes to movement and exercise. Our Teen Training program has been designed to help youth ages 12-16 get started on their exercise journey in a supportive and safe environment. Teen Training is required for any youth 12-16 to use the Health and Wellness Center without a supervising adult. They are not required for those who are 16 and older, but they are highly recommended.
Starting in Fall of 2023, anyone who wants to use the strength equipment in the Health & Wellness Center on school days between 3:30 -5:30pm will need to be registered for our Teen Strength Program. More information to come.
The Teen Training program has three levels that connect teens with one of our Personal Trainers who guide them through a workout plan appropriate for their goals, experience, and physical development. Level One is the minimum requirement for youth ages 12-16 who are interested in using the Health and Wellness Center on their own. It covers cardio equipment, basic selectrize pieces, and overall fitness guidelines and etiquette. Level Two and Three will provide access to a greater variety of equipment and exercises, and are available to teens interested in progressing with their strength development once they are able to demonstrate a mastery of basic functional movement and safety.
REGISTER FOR LEVEL ONE
Youth who are interested in completing Level Two or Three training should speak with a Personal Trainer to set it up.
- Level One: FREE
- Level Two: FREE
- Level Three: $30

FAMILY TRAINING (Adult and Youth 8yrs +)
To an adult the Health and Wellness Center can look intimidating, to a child it can look like a playground; we want to revise both those visions and show you that it is a place for your family to be healthy, happy and active together. Our goal is to help you have time together and support one another while improving your family's health. In a FREE Family Training Appointment, we'll teach you which equipment and activities are safe and appropriate for you and your child to do together in the Health and Wellness Center. These appointments are just as educational for adults as they are for kids. Children should beat least 8 years old, and everyone should come dressed for exercise and ready to workout together.
Our Body Composition Analysis can help your fitness journey!
You can take some of the guesswork out of setting your fitness goals when you meet with a Personal Trainer to get a Body Composition Analysis using our new InBody 270. We can quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, body water weight and get an accurate basal metabolic rate. Appointments take about 30 minutes, so you have time to go over your printed results with our staff.
